Hidden Treasure: A Taizé Gathering
In cooperation with the local churches of the city, the international and interdenominational Taizé Community will be leading a young adult gathering in Birmingham over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend. A regular common prayer for all participants will be at the heart of the weekend. Brother Alois, prior of the community, will speak at some of the evening prayers.

Mental Health Matters: Sharing the Journey
This training event features a variety of keynote speakers (including Kate Middleton, Director of Mind&Soul, and the Revd Dr Frances Young, theologian and Methodist minister) and workshops to equip people in the Church to become more welcoming, inclusive and understanding of issues of mental health. Booking for the new June conference is now open. This is in addition to the conference that took place this week. Connecting Disciples is the annual Methodist conference for all lay employees and children and youth workers, whatever their role. It offers a chance for training, development, fellowship and community through workshops, worship, Bible studies, prayer groups and networking. Student Christian Movement's Effective Student Work Training
A two-day course that will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective Christian student work. It is suitable for all those engaged in working with students, particularly Chaplaincy Assistants, church or university based Student Workers, ministers and volunteers. The cost of the training is £180, including bed and breakfast accommodation, all meals and training resources. There is a 10% discount available to SCM affiliated Chaplaincies and Link Churches.
